The new moral crusaders’ terror: the limits of free speech in Germany (Thilo Sarrazin book review #2)

PC (Political correctness) " tolerance"  is intolerant.

PC demands tolerance towards all "minorities"  but is inherently intolerant towards the majority.

The limits between socially acceptable and legally allowed freedom of speech are unclear. S/he whose expression of opinion treads into these realms, need not fear legal sanctions but can count on social sanctions.

This includes everything from moral condemnation and social ostracism to libel, personal defamation, ridicule of his person, slander and bullying. Because of the perceived breaking of taboos, which consist of speech outside the social consensus, many critics and especially their followers perceive no need to seriously deal with the contents of the criticized statement or to even make an effort to mentally absorb and understand the content [of this taboo speech].

Thus, tolerance turns into intolerance: […] who deems marriage a matter between a man and a woman is blamed for discrimination and homophobia. Who sets forth the Catholic position on homosexuality, is marginalized in talk shows. 23 The calls for tolerance thus easily turn into intolerance towards those [dissenters] who indeed tolerate PC opinion, but do not consider such it as morally equal.

From: Der neue Tugendterror: Über die Grenzen der Meinungsfreiheit in Deutschland (German Edition) location 401

PC police terror is intolerant even towards those dissenters who are tolerant of PC creeds.

Actually, Sarrazin is still too optimistic: hate speech laws are restricting legally allowed free speech, with the US the only bastion of constitutionally protected free speech. 2  3 4 5

People who were persecuted in former communist East Germany notice that they are persecuted again in " free" West Germany.

Selling millions of book copies is living proof, that Thilo Sarrazin‘s freedom of expression is not repressed.1 Deceptively false PC (politically correct} logic ignores that Thilo Sarrazin got removed from his German Central Bank job, Sarrazin’s house gets paint-bombed, Sarrazin’s events disturbed with whistles, tomatoes and stinking fecesThilo Sarrazin should be punished, the United Nations demanded of the German Government.

More proof of George Zimmermann’s self defense and innocence. A book review.

George Zimmerman declines ‘stand your ground’ hearing.

"We decided to focus on the idea that George wants to have a jury of his peers decide his case," O’Mara told reporters, according to the Associated Press. "And it’s going to be, I think, a more accepted result for everyone who has to accept the result — that he gets an acquittal at trial, more so than an immunity hearing given by a judge."

Everyone knows that no judge can afford to let Zimmermann go, or else risk rioting, looting, and lose re-election. So he can not easily be acquitted:

George Zimmermann killed Trayvon Martin, after getting his nose broken, the back of his head seriously banged up. In violation of the iron legal maxim "Don’t talk to Cops" he totally cooperated with police, proving that he was acting in self defense. Not one lie, no contradiction was found in his testimony.

An outcry of Black fanatism, including president Obama’s infamous meddling in a police case: "If I had a son he would look like Trayvon", caused the case to be re-opened. George Zimmermann was evicted from his college, is in hiding from unpunished New Black Panthers mob violence,  He is totally broke from legal expenses.

The reason for Florida’s "stand your ground" laws was exactly to spare good men – who act in self defense – the ruinous expense to hire a lawyer.

Forensic evidence both supports, casts doubt on Zimmerman claims

  • based on the times and distances Zimmerman said he covered, Zimmerman would have still been on the phone with Sanford police when he claims he was attacked by Martin;

Interestingly, Michael Knox desperately tries to look unbiased. Because the facts are so overwhelmingly in George’s favor. So he finds every little straw that casts light doubt upon George. If George stopped a while to look around, that is enough to explain why he was not back to his car.

  • had Martin walked directly to his destination, his father’s girlfriend’s townhome, he would have made it there safely before Zimmerman ended his nonemergency call to Sanford police;

It is harder to explain why Martin had backed up and returned, instead of just simply going home.

  • Martin was in fact leaning over Zimmerman when the fatal shot was fired, just as Zimmerman has maintained.

To reach that last conclusion, Knox examined both a Florida Department of Law Enforcement report on the gunshot’s impact to the hooded sweatshirt Martin was wearing and the autopsy report describing the gunshot wound to the body.

The medical examiner determined the gunshot was fired from "intermediate range," but the hoodie showed a "contact" shot, indicating the muzzle of Zimmerman’s gun was touching or extremely close to the fabric when the shot was fired.

Knox explained that the loose fitting sweatshirt was farther away from the body because of gravity, which pulled it down as Martin was situated above Zimmerman.

That is consistent with Zimmerman’s claim that he was on his back struggling with Martin when he reached for the gun, pointed it upward and fired, Knox said.

"We look at the physical evidence and then we say, ‘What does it tell us?’" said Knox, who before his 2010 retirement testified often for the same state attorney’s office that was specially appointed by the governor to prosecute Zimmerman.

Knox also says that Zimmermann could have gotten back to his car before the struggle, and Trayvon Martin could have easily gotten home. Of course, neither of the two would be obliged to do so. And Zimmermann had more reasons to stand, linger, wait and look. Trayvon Martin would have more reason to walk a quarter of a mile to get home and out of the rain.

More than 2:30 passes between the time Zimmerman hung up with Sanford police (7:13:39) and when a neighbor who heard the commotion connected with a 911 operator (7:16:11). The struggles continues on that call for 45 seconds, until the fatal gunshot is heard at 7:16:56.

Child sex is not traumatic when it happens. Only much later (Child Sex Trauma Myth #2)

Susan Clancy was a firm believer in the conventional wisdom: adult child sex is a profoundly traumatic. devastating terrible experience. As a psychology graduate student, Susan Clancy trusted, that scientist’s unwavering certainty in the childhood trauma theory of sexual abuse was based on firm scientific proof.  We used to be equally trusting believers

Disclaimer: We are not pedophiles and do not consume child porn. Rather we are interested in the truth to prevail and to become known. We demand unbiased academic research and laws to be informed by true facts and not to be based on myth and lies.

1) No Trauma: Child sex is mostly NOT traumatic when it happens!

Susan Clancy

The Trauma Myth: The Truth About the Sexual Abuse of Children–and Its Aftermath

When Susan Clancy interviewed child abuse victims, most of them had not felt profound trauma during or after their abuse. Rather their feelings at the time of the sexual act ranged from somewhat positive to negative. The feelings were far from the level of profound trauma as violent forcible rape or war. These results were very surprising and totally counter to Susan Clancy’s expectations (The results were, though,  in agreement with the maligned Rind Study.)   [Disclaimer]

1b) The above refers to *consensual sex

2) Sigmund Freud’s was in denial about child sex reports

Sigmund Freud had simply ignored and denied the frequent self-reports of child sexual abuse. He heard reports about child sexuality and discarded them as childhood fantasies.  Until as late as the 1960ies, child sexuality was considered shocking, unusual, or criminal.

3) "Child sex trauma myth" was intentionally created to counter Freud’s denial

Susan Clancy suggests: As a counter-reaction to Freud’s denial, in order to protect children from sexual abuse, the theory of child sex trauma was created and dogmatically made unassailable.

4) Clancy backpedals: claims long term damage

Later, when children understand about sex, understand what they did, and understand that society considers this a extremely serious traumatic event, they reframe the event and perceive it as traumatic and damaging.

Clancy does NOT say this, but maybe the trauma theory causes the traumatic reframing. Or as one reader succinctly put it: "Society’s trauma myth is the real child abuse".

Affirmative action fail: mismatch hurts Black & Hispanic students too

The Painful Truth About Affirmative Action describes how mismatched students are admitted to colleges where they don’t belong nor thrive, where they suffer and tend to drop out.

They are academic failures and rank at the bottom of their classes. This reinforces the stereotypes of academically inept Blacks and Hispanics, damages the self-esteem of failing minority students that would thrive in less selective colleges. It also is damaging to competent Black and Hispanic students who do not need quotas but who get confused with low performing quota students.

UCLA went through various phases of affirmative action and minority admissions. It is taboo to mention the unspoken secret: when UCL admitted twice as many minorities, drop-out rates increased drastically and in the end the number of minority graduates remained equal. Admitting too many vastly under qualified minorities yields no positive results. It only wastes money and traumatizes students.

Colleges actively hide the truth about the failure of affirmative action.

It is also always overlooked, that discriminated disadvantaged Asians over-perform. Even the mismatch article is shy to admit that this is due to Asian’s genetically superior IQ, augmented further by a culture that values academic success).

The issues of the above summary will be shown in detail in the quotes below

Mismatch: How Affirmative Action Hurts Students It’s Intended to Help, and Why Universities Won’t Admit It (Book)

The Painful Truth About Affirmative Actionsat-verbal-critical-reading-by-race-black-white

The single biggest problem in this system — a problem documented by a vast and growing array of research — is the tendency of large preferences to boomerang and harm their intended beneficiaries. Large preferences often place students in environments where they can neither learn nor compete effectively — even though these same students would thrive had they gone to less competitive but still quite good schools.

We refer to this problem as "mismatch," a word that largely explains why, even though blacks are more likely to enter college than are whites with similar backgrounds, they will usually get much lower grades, rank toward the bottom of the class, and far more often drop out. Because of mismatch, racial preference policies often stigmatize minorities, reinforce pernicious stereotypes, and undermine the self-confidence of beneficiaries, rather than creating the diverse racial utopias so often advertised in college campus brochures.

The mismatch effect happens when a school extends to a student such a large admissions preference —

The history of vibrators (2): 2500 years of medical orgasm therapy for hysteria

For over 2500 years, the medical profession helped the large percentage of (well off) women suffering from hysteria by regularly inducing "hysterical paroxysm”, aka orgasm.

A lone University Professor wrote the book about vibrators, manual massage by physicians and midwifes, and promptly lost her University job.

Batteries Not Included:  A social history of the vibrator. |NYTSears Vibrator Advertisement (1918)

The electric vibrator was invented right after the electric sewing machine, fan, teakettle and toaster, and before the electric vacuum cleaner, the electric iron and the electric fry pan. Who knew that everyone cared so deeply about women’s pleasure? […]

In 1918 Sears, Roebuck & Company offered a vibrator attachment for a home motor that would also drive a churn, a mixer and a sewing machine. Two models of portable vibrators were described as ”Such Delightful Companions” in 1922. Still another advertisement promised, ”All the pleasures of youth . . . will throb within you.”

Alas, the invention of the vibrator had nothing to do with love in the afternoon or sexual liberation. It was originally a labor-saving device to help doctors give their female patients a ”hysterical paroxysm” — that is, an orgasm.

What in the world were doctors doing vibrating their female patients to orgasm? The simple answer is that their fingers got tired. The complicated answer is delivered in Maines’s short, stimulating, repetitive and occasionally frustrating book, ”The Technology of Orgasm: ‘Hysteria,’ the Vibrator, and Women’ s Sexual Satisfaction.”

The vibrator, Maines argues, is the last in a long line of devices and techniques that were used to combat hysteria. Beginning with Hippocrates and running through Galen, Avicenna, Paracelsus, Pare, Burton and Harvey, all the way up to the mid-20th century, doctors fought valiantly against this terrible disease. The trouble was that the disease they were fighting, Maines explains, was ordinary female sexual desire. The classic symptoms of hysteria — ”anxiety, sleeplessness, irritability, nervousness, erotic fantasy, sensations of heaviness in the abdomen, lower pelvic edema and vaginal lubrication” — are the symptoms of chronic arousal.  NYT

2500 years of medical orgasm induction

As Forestus suggests here, in the Western medical tradition genital  massage to orgasm by a physician or midwife was a standard treatment  for hysteria, an ailment considered common and chronic in women. Descriptions   of this treatment appear in the Hippocratic corpus, the works  of Celsus in the first century A.D., those of Aretaeus, Soranus, and Galen  in the second century, that of Aetius and Moschion in the sixth century, the anonymous eighth- or ninth-century work Liber de Muliebria, the  writings of Rhazes and Avicenna in the following century, of Ferrari da  Gradi in the fifteenth century, of Paracelsus and Pare in the sixteenth, of  Burton, Claudini, Harvey, Highmore, Rodrigues de Castro, Zacuto, and  Horst in the seventeenth, of Mandeville, Boerhaave, and Cullen in the  eighteenth, and in the works of numerous nineteenth-century authors  including Pinel, Gall, Tripier, and Briquet.2 Given the ubiquity of these  descriptions in the medical literature, it is surprising that the character  and purpose of these massage treatments for hysteria and related disorders   have received little attention from historians.

Pelvicdouche_thumb1Millennia of medical orgasm induction, and it all stayed below the radar and remained quite unknown.

The authors listed above, and others in the history of Western medicine,   describe a medical treatment for a complaint that is no longer defined   as a disease but that from at the least the fourth century B.C. until  the American Psychiatric Association dropped the term in 1952, was  known mainly as hysteria.3

Before vibrators, women got hydrotherapy with water pressured by a few meters of gravity.

The famous Father Sebastien Kneipp, another European hydropath, set  great store by the use of pumped water aimed at the pelvis as a treatment  for female complaints.25

The history of vibrators: (1) orgasms as medical therapy for hysteria

But he is a Doctor! Medical massage to orgasmVibrators replaced power douches and doctor’s finger stimulation as treatment for female hysteria

Pelvic Massage

By the mid to late 19th century, hysteria (or sometimes female hysteria) came to refer to what is today generally considered to be sexual dysfunction. Typical treatment was massage of the patient’s genitalia by the physician and, later, by vibrators or water sprays to cause orgasm.

Female Hysteria

Female hysteria is a common medical diagnosis, made exclusively in women, which is today rarely recognized by modern medical authorities as a medical disorder. Its diagnosis and treatment were routine for many hundreds of years in Western Europe. Hysteria was widely discussed in the medical literature of the 19th century. Women considered to be suffering from it exhibited a wide array of symptoms including faintness, nervousness, insomnia, fluid retention, heaviness in abdomen, muscle spasm, shortness of breath, irritability, loss of appetite for food or sex, and “a tendency to cause trouble”.

Since ancient times women considered to be suffering from hysteria would sometimes undergo “pelvic massage” — manual stimulation of the genitals by the doctor until the patient experienced “hysterical paroxysm” (orgasm).

Mall Girls (Galerianki): Polish Teens Exchange Sex for Smart Phones

mallgirls_05Mall Girls: teens who sell sex in Poland, and their sponsors (Galerianki)

Japan’s enjo kosai are the most famous teenagers who have sex with older men in order to buy stylish goods, but research reveals this relationship around the world. What seems to signal a loss of morals (for many commentators) is that the teenagers in question are not ‘poor’, since poverty is seen to ’excuse’ selling sex. See recent ideas about the desire to keep whore stigma away from women engaging in transactional sex. [..]

Katarzyna Roslaniec shot Mall Girls at a shopping center in central Poland, where four teenage girls turn tricks with men they call sponsors. ’Look at a guy’s shoes, his watch and his phone and you can tell if it’s expensive. It’s a start, right?’ Sex is exchanged for products like blouses, not for cash, and is provided in mall toilets or cars in the parking lot (Poland Looks Inward).
