“Belle de Jour”: Cancer Scientist financed Doctorate with Prostitution Work

Today a positive example, against human stupidity:  An independent professional women comes out of the closet and admits she enjoyed her work as a prostitute to finance her doctorate studies.

Last month John Sentamu, the Archbishop of York, said on his Web site that “fiction” like “Belle de Jour” created a “myth” that sex workers were “independent women, empowered by the hold they have over men.”

Well, Mr. Archbishop, the myth is true. And independent empowered women made money with the power she had over men! Not a poor victim of male violence, as feminist myth and religious zealots want to insist.  Maybe the true victims are lonely men that paid prices as high as 300 pounds per hour.

The 34-year-old said she became a call girl in 2003 to support herself in London while completing her doctoral thesis after realizing she had no qualms about being paid for sex.

She contacted an agency, working as a prostitute until late 2004, describing it as “so much more enjoyable” than an earlier job as a computer programmer.

Her online chronicle of her experiences attracted a huge following, prompting the publication of a bestselling book which was serialized on UK prime time television in 2007’s “Secret Diary of a Call Girl,” starring actress of Billie Piper

She said she finally broke her silence to answer her critics, including senior Church of England clergy, and because she feared an ex-boyfriend was poised to go public.

Sex workers out of choice vs. true abducted forced sex slaves

Now let us be clear: there is real forced prostitution in this world, and everyone agrees that this must be combatted. The problem is that feminist and religious zealots confuse forced sex slavery and abduction and free choice to work as sex worker.

Here an example of real sex slavery

Sunarsih went to what she thought was a legitimate company. She received training in the basics of housekeeping, a passport for the first time.

“The company announced that an Arab employer was looking for a virgin, brown-skinned, tall housemaid,” she remembers. “I was chosen among hundreds. I was so happy, it was like a dream come true. I was so proud. My friends told me how lucky I was to be chosen that quickly.”

She was harrassed, forced to do sexual services to the employers, fled and got into worse brothel slavery.  I think everyone agrees that this is criminal and has to be suppressed.

But suppressing women who out of their free choice want to make a financial deal with a man willing to pay them for sexual services, is this really the government’s duty?

Sex Trafficking/Slavery is used by many groups as a attempt to outlaw all prostitution around the world by saying that all women are victims even if they do it willing. This hurts any real victims because it labels all sex workers as victims.

This is done by the media, aid groups, NGO’s, feminists, politicians, and religious organizations that receive funds from the government. There are very strong groups who promote that all adult women who have sex are victims even if they are willing, enjoy it and go out of there way to get it. These groups try to get the public to believe that no adult women in their right mind would ever go into the sex business unless she was forced to do so, weather she knew it or not. They say that 100% of all sex workers are trafficking victims.

They do this in order to label all men as sex offenders and wipe out all consensual prostitution. Which is what their real goal is. There is almost no one who challenges or questions them about their false beliefs. Therefore, the only voices you hear are of these extreme groups. These groups want to label all men as terrible sex offenders for seeing a willing adult sex worker. No one stands up to say this is foolish, the passive public says nothing.

These groups even say that all men who marry foreign women are terrible sex predators who take advantage of these “helpless foreign women wives”.

These groups believe that two adults having consensual sex in private should be outlawed. Since they believe that it is impossible for a man to have sex with a woman without abusing the woman in the process.
