How to raise a criminal with operant conditioning and social learning. School to prison pipeline created by political correctness

Leniency as prescribed by the Obama administration’s “Dear Colleague Letter” [27] greatly strengthens the school to prison pipeline, by reinforcing criminal behavior.

Instant reward for misbehavior, no punishment.

Violent and criminal minority children are treated very leniently, starting in Kindergarten. With impunity, “disadvantaged”, “traumatized” minority children reap the pleasures and benefits of misbehavior, and watch their peers do likewise. Blacks and other “minorities”1 benefit from special minority privilege2 and impunity.  Years of intrinsic rewards for exciting pleasurable violent behavior reinforces and strengthens such anti-social and criminal behavior.  It creates hardened adult criminals.

The root cause of false educational practices is dishonesty: Political correctness, egalitarianism, the gag orders3 that do not allow to report on minority crime and race differences.

Antisocials engage in  criminal behavior because is rewarding.  A pleasurable feeling of power, the pleasure of beating, of punishing, of humiliating, in addition to tangible benefits like getting lunch money or forced homework help by the victim.

Average Students need not apply. Swiss High Schools admit only brightest 20%

80% of Swiss secondary Students do not qualify for Gymnasium (High School). Only the top 20% with highest IQ pass stringent selection, testing and a half year High School trial period.  Swiss High Schools proudly restrict High School to those students considered a worthy investment for University study.

Schweizer BildungssystemSwiss IQ researcher worries that 1/3 of High School students have IQ of under 112.5 and should be at the High School. Switzerland expects a return on the high investment of schooling students up to University Graduation. To say it very Un-PC:

Swiss proudly restrict High School to top 20%,
(top 18% in Zürich)
keep dumb students out of High School and College

Those 80% deemed unfit to successfully finish demanding Universities are steered towards “lesser” schools,  a 3-4 year apprenticeship (Berufslehre) and possibly professional colleges. Swiss salaries are among the highest in the world, and Swiss have a highly qualified work force.

1/3 of High School Students too Dumb for High School [German][English Translation]

“In Switzerland some kids in High School don’t belong there because they have only average Intelligence”, says IQ researcher Elsbeth Stern in the “Tages-Anzeiger”. She has tested the IQ at several high schools and calculated that many students do not reach the theoretical minimum IQ of 112.6.

More than a third of the students flunked the test. “You have to look carefully, who goes on the academic track,” says Stern.  “For he who seeks an academic career later, later will have problems.”

We perfectly understand that educated middle class children of educated intelligent middle class parents can possibly be perfectly educated with no physical violence whatsoever. Super Nanny videos are perfect examples.

We question, though, if spanking prohibition is a necessity and needs to be enshrined in law.

Full Spanking scene on youtube

The judge’s wife was emotionally abused herself and was severely manipulated into assisting the beating and should not be blamed for any content in this video. The judge’s wife has since left the marriage due to the abuse, which continues to this day

Of course, the father is the culprit and the mother should not be blamed.

Yes, we understand there are problems, but we are here to question politically correct dogma. Here a few arguments by Devil’s Advocate:

  1. Look at really unruly criminal or borderline criminal children. Gang members, violent flash mob participants, Hardcore truants, heavy drug users etc. Maybe the world would be better off had these kids been disciplined when there was still a chance to get them away from their path that is both destructive to society and self-destructive.  In many rich countries there is, needlessly, an underclass of uneducated, unemployable hopeless adolescents that have no chance in life. They will forever be a burden to society, financially, as welfare basket cases, as criminals, and as parents to future generations of hopeless children.
  2. Lower class, low intelligence parents of equally lower intelligence low self control children in bad social environment might be better off with forceful education methods.
  3. Parents might enforce exaggerated and unworthy goals with violent spanking? That, of course, raises other questions of parental power and freedom in general. Spanking a child for not going to church, for having homosexual tendencies, for not training mother’s pet sport? I see the problem, but what about parents enforcing such behaviors with other punishments, psychological cruelty, time out, withholding of financial resources etc.
  4. To avoid excessive physical punishment, neighborhood councils could mediate between children and parents, and order parents to stop in case of injustice. Note also that in all ancient texts, punishment of children (and women) was always limited in ways as to not cause lasting physical damage.
  5. The same politically correct liberals, who totally oppose measured non-endangering spanking, treat violent child endangering bullies and gangs with velvet gloves. Maybe such bullies need Singapore or Muslim style spankings to learn respect for fellow children and adults.
  6. Is imprisoning for days, weeks, years really more humane then 20 minutes of corporal punishment? More so if in these prisons the serious criminals tend to rape and sexually enslave the less thuggish transgressors! Not to mention the financial cost of locking up people for years, in the light of too much government spending.
  7. Spanked children become violent adults? There is lots of research supporting this theory, but …..: The proponents of such theories usually don’t consider the possibility that children of violent parents inherited genetic propensity to violence.  Without proof they assume causality.

Plenty of intelligent guest comments at the end of "Dad seen on tape beating daughter" mention that a father who tried all other methods and uses spanking as a last resort might be very justified. In many states, including Texas, spanking one’s children is not illegal.

Again, we are Devil’s Advocate assailing conventional dogma. We want to stimulate healthy discussion. We are not ready to put our weight behind full legalization of corporal punishment.

Human-Stupidity did it again: alienate everyone by questioning politically correct conventional wisdom.

Should Evolution be taught in School? (Miss USA 2011 – 51 Delegates Interview)

This year’s Miss USA candidates had to answer "Should evolution be taught in School". The stupidity of their answer might be due to the lack of information about evolution, and due to religious zealot’s mis-information. The fact is that the theory of evolution is about as established as the theory of gravitation.

Of course, their answers are also due to politics. A Miss has to be pleasing and diplomatic. A Miss who says the total truth would be too controversial and would be demoted by religious zealots.

“Should Evolution be taught in School?”

Miss California gave a fairly true answer. She actually won! I doubt it was because of her good answer to this question!?

The true answer would be, in Dawkins’ style: "Should the stork theory of child conception be taught in school?" "Should alchemy be taught instead of chemistry. Or should be both sides be taught, Alchemy and chemistry?". Evolutionary theory is as much a theory as the theory of gravitation.

Essential Fundaments of Time-Out on Naughty Chair: Prevention of Suffering & Crime

Good education & happy childhood as prevention for future problems

Children with serious family problems in early childhood are set up for future problems in life, truancy, crime, general disrespect for law and authority, leaning failures, .Super Nanny’s work creates happiness in unhappy families, prevents children from becoming uneducated, disrepectful, future criminals, future bad parents and just generally unhappy.

Human-Stupidity.com puts this up as a positive example that cures unnecessary suffering for entire families and prevents future crime and stupidity. This is anti-stupidity, creating families where love and intelligence get nourished.

Super Nanny shows families & children with very serious disciplinary problems. Her main technique is the non-violent “naughty zone”, like a “naughty chair”, “naughty mat”, “naughty room” where kids get a time out. Now the main problem is:

How to make a totally unruly child to stay on a time-out “naughty chair” for the first time?

Youtube postings of super nanny normally consist of a series of about 7 parts. We just pick the one part relevant to the start of naughty chair discipline, for studies. Feel free to see the other 6 clips to get an idea of the misbehavior of the children to appreciate the miracle of getting them to obey to this disciplinary method. Watch the following 10 videos to get the real impact and understanding of how the discipline works.

Essential elements of the time-out naughty corner|mat|room|chair technique

  1. learn firm dominant voice and attitude
  2. give prior warning
  3. make child understand what it did wrong before putting it in the naughty room/corner/mat (for 1 minute per year of age of child)
  4. be absolutely firm: if child leaves before time is over, it has to start all over.
  5. The very first time the absolutely crucial part. I think it only works because of Super-Nanny’s authority and presence. Once a child accepts authority and stays at a time-out, 90% of the problem is solved. Super Nanny’s teachings about firmness, clarity, justness etc are absolutely vital.
  6. at the end, make the child say “sorry”
  7. loving treatment when the child behaves well and after saying “sorry”

I cringe a little bit, because this technique can, of course, be abused by selfish, inconsistent parents to train and manipulate their children. What about the creative rebellious genius? Time-out for denying the truth of the Bible! Time-out for moving around, running, playing like a normal natural child!

But there is no anti-dote against parental limitations. Parents should have psychological maturity and stability to know which discipline is necessary and positive. Super Nanny shows tools, they can be abused. The examples shown certainly involve unhappy brats in dire need of being put into their places, and parental education is part of her work.

Time-out or careful slapping?

It seems to me that “time-out” is not the essence of this educational success.  Observing the above points 1-7 is important together with some sensible punishment. Humane slaps with the same firmness, admonishments  and explanations like 1-7 above probably work just as well. Slaps might actually work if children can not be kept on the “naughty chair”.  But this is not politically correct. Sorry. Time-out for me!
