Brazil’s World Cup repression of legal prostitution caused more violent crimes against prostitutes

Dilma Rousseff’s leftist feminist Brazilian Government  is ashamed of Brazil‘s world famous hot blooded prostitutes. Even though " prostitute"  constitute a legal profession, registered with the department of Labor, crackdowns have happened for almost a century, before every major international event in Brazil.

20140316_104503 The initiative causes crime and suffering, even towards the " victims" they purport to protect.  The closure of a well known short time hotel caused prostitutes to seek out other venues, like their own homes, where they became victims of robbery and other violence.

Almost all repressive sex laws inspired by feminists and religious zealots cause crime, sexual abuse, and suffering: repression of porn and child porn, age of consent laws, repression of teenage sexuality and prostitution

Nobody, not even men’s rights activists care about lonely and depressed men, for whom sex could bring a ray of happiness in their life. Very few care about prostitutes who are deprived of income to pay their rent, pay their school, or feed their babies.  Month long closure of a beach beer bar in front of Copacabana’s Fifa Fan Fest caused immense ruinous damage to the innocent businessman who can not prevent prostitutes from frequenting his venue. To no avail, prostitutes and their customers stood on the side walk and bought their beer from street vendors.

The World Cup of Prostitution: How the Soccer Tourney Is Affecting Brazil’s Sex Workers

Despite the higher rates, prostitution has allegedly decreased during the 2014 World Cup. The Observatory of Prostitution, an academic team affiliated with the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, conducted over 2,000 hours of ethnographic research in the principal zones of prostitution in the Rio area (Copacabana Beach, Ipanema Beach, Centro Lapa, and Villa Mimosa), and host cities Fortaleza, Recife, São Paulo, and Brasilia, in order to “monitor the impact World Cup has in areas of prostitution in certain regions of these cities for the presence of foreigners.”

The study reached some interesting conclusions, including that the closures of Balcony Bar and nearby Hotel Lido led to “reported increases in violence and robbery” against prostitutes, since now prostitutes were being forced to bring clients back to their apartments. […]

Sex repressive zealots don’t care about causing crime and damage. They even invent lies and junk statistics to claim their actions are doing good.

Holland increases minimum age for combat soldiers to 21

2) What is the legal age for military service?

The legal age for military service in Amsterdam is 21 years old. In February 2013, Amsterdam is to become the first municipality in the Netherlands to officially increase the legal age for military to fight in war from 18 to 21 years. Increasing the legal age is part of a set of measures designed to tackle abuse in the war industry and strengthen the position of soldiers. The City of Amsterdam believes that people aged 21 are better able to make a well-considered decision about fighting and killing in combat than those aged 18 as well as being better able to cope with serving in a war zone.  2

"In the Netherlands, voluntary military service is a legal profession. Forced military service is illegal." 3

This was just an April’s fools joke. In most of human history in most countries in the world men were forced to serve in wars, with not much concern for age.

"In the Netherlands, voluntary prostitution is a legal profession. Forced prostitution is illegal." 3

Countries with mandatory military service include Denmark and Austria. Nobody, of course, is concerned with psychological problems of involuntary or voluntary draftees into military combat and killing service. No concern with Post Traumatic Stress disorder, freedom of choice, when it concerns MEN.

But feminist activists never stop preventing women against their will from their own choices.

Age of consent 70 years: The future of prostitution

The ever rising age of consent

It is no joke that the prediction of the antifeminist regarding sexual trade union policy has become true: a country where the age of consent is 16, the age for prostitution is 18,  20 year olds are not allowed to choose to work as prostitutes in Amsterdam. The Deutsche Welle, in a mistaken Freudian slip, advances the (soon to become true?) news that it has been increase to 23 years of age.

Will the age of consent for prostitutes eventually, be increased to 70, the age of The Fokkens sisters on the picture?

A Swedish sex worker on absurdity of Swedish prostitution laws

  1. We want to save you (the sex worker). And if you don’t want to be saved, you will be punished.
  2. Are women prostituting themselves out of free choice?  Does a nurse work long night shifts out of free choice?  Or because she needs to pay the rent.
  3. It is illegal to buy temporary sexual services. What about clients that come for 20 years, outlasting several marriages?
  4. It is illegal to pay sex with money, or drugs. So if "paying" sex with a few drinks is illegal, then almost all sex is illegal prostitution.
  5. Landlords are obliged to kick out prostitutes, lest they will be charged with pimping
  6. even roommates can be charged with pimping, so sex workers MUST work alone, reducing safety.
  7. grown-up children who live for free with their mother, while studying, can get convicted for pimping.
  8. clients can not call police if they suspect trafficking or pimping. They would be accused of a crime if they called police

We discuss only

the impediments for responsible adults to decide about their own work and fate. The serious issues of teenage sexuality are not even mentioned. For example, in many countries one can have sex with a 16 year old. But if one gives her money, it becomes a felony.

100 Countries and Their Prostitution Policies. Germany fully legalized prostitution in 2002

100 Countries and Their Prostitution Policies

This page details 100 countries’ policies on prostitution, brothel ownership, and pimping. These countries were chosen in order to be inclusive of major religions, geographical regions, and policies towards prostitution. Taiwan and Scotland were included in the country listings for China and the United Kingdom, respectively, in accordance with the country listings and population estimates provided in the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) World Factbook.

Whenever possible, we have included government documents regarding prostitution such as laws, court decisions, employment information, etc. under the name of the country. While reasonable efforts have been made to assure the accuracy of the data provided, do not rely on this information without first checking an official edition of the applicable law. This page was last updated Nov. 4, 2009.

Legal in 50 (50%); Limited Legality in 11 (11%); Illegal in 39 (39%); Total: 100 (100%) [of the countries surveyed]

In some sex tourist destinations (Thailand, Cambodia, Philippines) prostitution is totally illegal. Amazingly, Germany is one of the most liberal countries. Brothels are legal, prostitution is legal, pimping is legal.

Germany

Prostitution: Legal
Legalized in 1927.

[Editor’s Note: The date of the legalization of prostitution in Germany is disputed. Some consider prostitution to have been legalized or decriminalized since the passage of the 1927 Law for Combating Venereal Diseases. However, others consider prostitution was legalized through the Prostitution Act of January 2002 that improved the social welfare and legal rights of prostitutes. Although prostitution is legal under the German Constitution, prior to the 2002 Prostitution Act, a series of regulatory laws and court rulings had restricted the legal and social welfare rights of prostitutes because prostitution was considered in violation of Germany’s moral code.]

Brothel Ownership: Legal

Pimping: Legal
Exploitative behavior considered criminal.

"An estimated 400,000 prostitutes work in Germany, and 1.2 million customers are said to use their services daily. Revenues are estimated at 6 billion euros every year – equivalent to those of companies like Porsche and Adidas.

Switzerland

It is interesting how two of the most organized countries in the world have legal prostitution, instead of the morass of prohibition and illegality.

18 USC § 1384 prohibits US military to solicit legalized prostitutes abroad (1 year imprisonment)

Young men raging with high testosterone levels make the bravest and most heroic fighters. The same hormones cause these soldiers to have high sex drives.

These war heroes, ready to die for their country, are taken overseas and kept away from women, confined among men, for months on end. Pent-up sexuality due to suchanti prostitution  policy may cause higher rates of harassment, date rape, forcible rape. Young immature soldiers may embark on premature marriages, whose consequences and failures will come to financially and emotionally haunt the men for the rest of their life. Heterosexual men might reluctantly engage in homosexuality just to relieve pressure, similar to prisons situations.

Women are now allowed in the armed forces. Harassment charges prevent soldiers from joking and bonding like they used to for millennia. Add to this the danger of date rape accusations or false rape charges and the low level of evidence needed to be convicted of rape.

All this might sap morale of troops, reduce fighting capacity and discourage army enrollment.

18 USC § 1384 prohibits American military to solicit prostitutes, Adult men, ready to die for their country,  but not allowed to take care of their pent up sexual urges. 1 year in prison for visiting a legal brothel and helping the local economy? High testosterone levels make men courageous fighters, and make them more sexual.

USFK_Prostitution_WarningFor what reasons, and to what deleterious effects does the US government interference in the life of millions, preventing them from perusing legal sex work in other countries.

We don’t outlaw soldiers’ use of IPhones or Nike sneakers, under threat of imprisonment, just because there are some irregularities in their factories.

Instead, we try to solve the problem. We inspect companies, encourage them to engage in fair labor practices. Similarly we could encourage correct practices in prostitution.

  • Blackmailing of US personnel by foreign agents is less a danger when prostitution visits are legal. 1 year prison terms with dishonorable discharge make any soldier that ever visited a prostitute a potential target of blackmail. Even those who do not frequent prostitutes can be blcackmailed with threats of false accusations of prostitution. Any girl friend, any prostitute he did not hire can allege he offered or gave her money.
  • Health problems, VD can be controlled by information and careful sexual practices.
  • Sex trafficking is mostly a lie. Where it exists it can usually be fought by legalizing prostitution and work visas for willing qualified foreign prostitutes.

Unfortunately, the Antifeminist seems right again: the feminist sexual trade Union wants to raise the price of sex, so women can get the maximum benefit and commitment out of men, in exchange of sex and promise of sex.

All other arguments are phony excuses backed by exaggerated and falsified data. Remember Robert Kurzban about finding non-existent victims to justify our pre-conceived beliefs.

Human-Stupidity is against pre-conceived dogma, in favor of truth, knowledge and research. Thus we suggest a few ……..

Politically incorrect academic research projects

How does prohibition of prostitution in general, but especially in military personnel deployed overseas cause problems?

What is the impact on military  men (and civilians) if all their sexual outlets get cut off systematically, under the threat of imprisonment? Does this

  • increase levels of depression
  • incite immature young men and adolescents to get married, with all the subsequent dangers of traumatic divorce, life-long wage slavery, alimony, child support
  • cause rape and serious date rape due to lack of sexual outlets and pent-up sexual frustration
  • (compare Milton Diamond‘s research on how legalized pornography reduces sex crimes)
  • cause heterosexual men in the military to seek homosexual relations, just like prisoners?
  • What are the psychological effects of reluctant homosexual acts on heterosexual men?
  • impact morale of the military and reduce fighting readiness
  • discourage men from enlisting for the military
  • encourage women to become gold diggers, to exploit the marriage, divorce and harassment industry to earn money, because their chances of openly and honestly charging money engaging in prostitution is curtailed?
  • Is there research how sex tourism, prostitution visits impact men’s well being, by measuring levels of life satisfaction, productivity, depression, serotonin.
  • How did soldiers’ vacations to Subic Bay, Angeles City and Bangkok brothels impact morale, well being and fighting reediness?

Anyone has information and links on Northern European countries sponsoring visits to prostitutes for social security recipients as a means for emotional health? There should be some research backing such policies.

In most countries, nobody ever would get funding for my proposed projects. This is another reason we need men’s studies to counteract repressive anti-scientific women’s studies ideologies.
