Political correctness‘ quota nonsense gives us firefighters that are too weak to carry an injured person and too dumb to read maps and street signs. Gender and racial quotas are equally harmful, unjust, and outright dangerous.

Unfortunately, MRA (men’s rights activists) are unaware that male gender quotas are quite similar to racial quota issues. What is falsely perceived as discrimination is to be remedied.

Once gender and racial differences are being recognized as true, one can find true alternative solutions:

  • really hire and pay by merit would be the best solution
  • if there is a desire to institute quotas, compensate weaknesses with extraordinary skills. Those who underperform at IQ and aptitude tests will only be hired if they strongly over-perform at physical tests, and are aware that they will not be apt for leadership positions.  Women who underperform in brute strength of lifting heavy weights may compensate with extremely high scores in speed, endurance, IQ.

Promotion stop for men at Siemens to achieve "voluntary" women quota

No promotions whatsoever for men working at Siemens. No matter how hard working, no matter how qualified. Until Siemens’ "voluntary" women quota of 20% is reached. A high ranking Engineer at Siemens told me this in summer 2012.

It does not matter than only 6% of machine and car engineers in Germany are female. It does not matter that women work shorter hours, interrupt their career, and in general choose health and  comfort over maximum financial benefits (Warren Farrell).

No more topless (meaning no more without women on the top)It is preposterous that political correctness brainwashed our politicians end the general population to think that

  • women earn 70% of a man’s salary for the SAME work.  And businesses stubbornly refuse to be more profitable. Businesses rather forego the financial benefits of hiring and promoting women at 70% of men’s salary. Profit-oriented businesses prefer  to pay`40% more to an equally qualified man, just out of spite, so the old boy’s  network can discriminate against women. And not one single company has figured out that by hiring only low paid women they could annihilate the competition that stupidly hires expensive men at their higher salary.   • So it is only logical that German labor minister van der Leyen states that only gender diverse companies can compete against international competition. Thus the government has to make rules to force businesses to do more rational hiring decisions, and to become more profitable and successful. Business on its own would rather incur losses then hire equally or higher qualified women.  Preposterous.

 

I can only imagine the effect on men’s morale. Imagine highly qualified engineer at Siemens seeing how the rare women engineer, with lower qualification and much less seniority and work experience, gets promoted to the male engineer’s level, and then promoted again to become his superior. Without merit and qualification. All this while the man’s position and salary remains the same.

The European Community is finalizing binding laws to mandate quotas for women.The quotas are meant to force companies to institute flexible work hours and better conciliation of work and family life.  Only enforced quotas will force companies to hire and promote women [summarized from 2]

In Germany, the only discussion is if there should be mandatory 40% quotas for women, or if companies were to set their own binding goals for women quotas.  Nobody thinks that companies should make their own rational decisions based on merit, on qualification, eagerness to work, ambition. Not on any quotas.

German Family Minister Kristina Schroeder (also CDU), on the other hand, favors a so-called flexi rate. This requires a company to set their own quota levels which they are required to fulfill.

No excuses here that this will be good for companies.  When urgent emergency repairs have to be made, the boss is on family friendly work hours. And the subordinates are demoralized, why should they work overtime when the boss is on 35 hour flex time week.

Under debate [in Germany] is a law, that requires that at large companies by 2018  20 per cent of members of supervisory and management boards have to be women. Five years later, the percentage is to rise to 40 percent 3

We are waiting for law proposals, that 40% of elementary school teachers be male, 40 % of garbage collectors and construction helpers be women, and 40% of prisoners be female.

German minister Ursula van der Leyen recently authored the insane comment, that German industry needs women leaders in order to stay competitive world wide. In other words, were it not for big brother government to force enterprise to promote women, companies would act against their own interest and self-destructively would hire men.

Now employers cannot escape equal pay laws by not employing  members of the less productive group. Now employers are obliged to hire or promote people into high ranking positions, no matter if they don’t consider them apt for the job, or not optimal for the job. They get promoted just because of their sexual organs (= because they have a vagina).  And men at Siemens, deserving of promotion, will get stiffed and passed up, until enough women passed them up to higher pay levels.

Fear of punishing law suits are also a motive for companies to hire too many "disadvantaged" group members.

There is also a video by Friedman how he explains how discrimination, how pay gap are good for social justice. Because with a pay gap, the person who discriminates Is being punished, by having to pay a higher salary. 

Of course, in today’s reality this does not happen, because in reality the pay gap is bogus.

Among the 18 candidates that got less then 40 votes in the 2010 state elections,17 were women.  3

Brazilian congress plans heavy fines to companies whenever a woman gets paid less then a man

Even in countries with Latin machismo like Brazil, feminism is almost unopposedly changing laws to unjustly benefit women at the detriment of men. They even have slut walks in Brazil on 4th of July in São Paulo.

The Brazilian congress is examining the bill 6.393/2009. If passed into law, companies will be fined retroactively every time a woman earning less than a man. The fine is five times the pay difference observed throughout the entire employment period.
The retroactive effect is one of the absurdities that inhabit that bill. Another is the direction of the fine to the affected employee. […]And the men? What will they say this measure? What can they do if your salary is lower than that of a woman?

This is the opinion of a reasonable blogger, published in today’s newspaper "O Globo". . He worries that companies lose discretion to reward performance and differentiate pay.   1. Example how to calculate the fine: suppose the man earns $ 3300, the woman earns $ 3000 monthly. For 5 years of work, the difference would be 5 * 12 * $ 300 multiplied by 5 for the fine:  $ 90 000.

Snooker: no woman in the top 30. Do we need quotas for women?

  Women’s snooker has always been a contentious subject; the sad fact that there has never been a woman player ranked in the top thirty two seems to prove the general view that “snooker is not there game”. This is a nice way of saying “women can’t play snooker”.

         There have been many and various reasons given as to why women can not match the men in this field of sport. The first reason is the ratio of male players to female players in all tournaments; in fact it is the only sound reason known but still partly an excuse, there has to be an obvious or simple explanation.

        Woman competitors in tennis, golf, cricket, athletics; all concede they are inferior to men (in strength) by accepting a rules change for there benefit, but in snooker there is no strength advantage, nor is there any reason for a condescending rule to make lady snooker players feel inferior.^

No woman in the top 30 in snooker? As we know, gender is socially constructed. There is no reason why women would perform worse at snooker then men. Therefore, to right past injustice, the blatant discrimination by the patriarchy, women should get quotas in the top 30 snooker rankings.

Let us enforce 40% quotas, like in Europe’s boardrooms 0 1 2. This would require 12 women to be promoted into the top 30 snooker players. (please excuse our sarcasm)

But what most prevents women from reaching the boardroom, say bosses and headhunters, is lack of hands-on experience of a firm’s core business. Too many women go into functional roles such as accounting, marketing or human resources early in their careers rather than staying in the mainstream, driving profits. 3,

In sports like Tennis, chess, snooker there are objective criteria of a person’s performance. So it is ridiculous to demand to force women into the top 30 ranks, if they objectively don’t fulfill the requirements.

It does not matter why! Be it for innate deficiencies, be it for lack of interest, lack of breadth of the player basis. It does not matter, they don’t perform and thus deservedly are not in the top 30. In chess, there is only one woman in the top 100. In Tennis women painstakingly avoid competing against men, except against aging ex-champions.

In top management there are no such unassailably objective criteria, and thus it is not possible to prove beyond reasonable doubt if women are put into these jobs unjustly. Though Warren Farrell made a pretty strong point towards explaining why women deservedly rarely make it into the best paid top positions.

The wage gap myth: Harriet Harman and manipulation of statistics

Harriet Harman, the feminist Minister for Women and Equality in the UK has been recommended by the Office Of National Statistics to present “gender wage gap” statistics differently in this report in order to give the figures in a fairer light. There is more evidence that her use of statistics are causing consternation in Whitehall. Previously to this, Ms. Harman has claimed that ”on average women are paid 22.6% per hour less than men”. However, this figure is based on total hours worked by both sexes – but does take into account the actual amount of hours worked by women.

From the Office Of National Statistics report (emphasis mine) ;-

The measure for all employees showed a pay difference of 22.5 percent in favour of men and the pay difference for full-timers was 12.8 per cent in April 2008. When looking at part-time employees, the difference was -3.5 per cent, meaning that part-time men were paid less on average than part-time women.

However, Ms. Harman’s own Equality and Human Rights Commission continues unabated with their own investigation on how best to provide the figures for public consumption.

Wage gap is due to individual choices of men and women and to laws of supply and demand

Men choose to earn more, women choose to have more time and a better life. Never married women without children make choices like men, and thus earn more then men.

There is more demand for women engineering graduates, therefor they earn 115% of what men earn. The demand for women engineers is artificially greater due to fears of anti-discrimination lawsuits.  Male models make 20% of what female models make, because there is not much demand for male models. Should affirmative action and "fair pay act"  be applied to get equal pay for models and beauty contestants? Trash collectors (mainly male) make more then Wal-Mart sales persons (mainly female). It is not sexism, but supply and demand.  Women tend to opt out of dangerous unpleasant jobs, long work hours, long commuting, moving to Alaska for job advancement, etc..

Women tennis players get  the same pay for less work (fewer shorter sets), lower performance (women are chanceless against any male top 500 player), less productivity (they have fewer spectators that pay less). In other words, women’s equal prize money gets subsidized  by the performance of the males.  Equal prize money actually leads to Wimbledon top 10 women getting higher pay then men. Women play shorter games, thus they have time to make extra money in more games, like doubles. Women also tend to get more sponsor money.  ESPN

Venus Williams, the defending champion and three-time winner, said the women simply want to be treated equally.

"This is not just about women’s tennis but about women all over the world," she told BBC Radio before Wimbledon’s announcement. "At Wimbledon we would like to have equal prize money to prove that we are equal on all fronts." 2

The same Venus Williams that was annihilated by #203 in the men’s ranking!  Such demagoguery . If women are "equal on all fronts", why do women need separate categories? Let them play against men, and whoever wins gets the prize.

One might perfectly say that a top class women tennis player should get the same money as an equally strong male player. Women’s #1 champions are chanceless against the Top 500 men. #203 ranked man totally annihilated both Williams sisters in one afternoon.   So why should the top ranked women be paid more then the male # 500 that plays better then she does, and who gets no prize whatsoever? ` When female player Chris Evert-Lloyd was at her peak, she said her brother who played low level college tennis beat her (authoritative source for this, anyone?)

We suspect that maybe women champions are chanceless against the top 10 000 male players. They are just to embarrassed to try. It sure would make an interesting project for college research or a TV series: Top 10 female Tennis Players against the #5 man of Stanford University.  It would be a serious blow to feminist equality claims, if the #1 ranked  woman champion loses against the #15 ranked man of an average College.  Political correctness has a vested interest to hide such facts.  Interestingly, women can not even compete with men in chess or snooker, where physical prowess is of no importance.

So if fewer spectators pay to see females play compared to the men, and broadcasters tolerate the women’s game rather than actively promote it, then how can they justify the equal prize money that some of them — most notably the Williams sisters — lobbied so forcefully for?  […]

I believe that athletes — especially female athletes in the world’s leading sport for women — should serve as role models. The message I like to convey to women and girls across the globe is that there is no glass ceiling. My fear is that Wimbledon is loudly and clearly sending the opposite message…. 5

In other words: If women, unjustly, get equal money for unequal work in sports, then it sends a message for women to get equal money for unequal work in the work place.

Similarly, the so called pay gap in the work place is a lie, which unfortunately is repeated even by the Barrack Obama and Hillary Clinton.  Warren Farrell has proved that the pay gap is due to women’s work choices and that, due to affirmative action, women earn MORE for same work.

70 year olds, children, midgets, featherweights, handicapped:  justice and equality for all

Let us get equal prize money for the children’s tennis champion, the over 70 year old master’s champions (they spent 60 years training, and thus should get bigger prizes), the handicapped people’s special Olympics champion. After all, they are all champions! One should not discriminate by age or handicap! And of course, the featherweight boxer should get the same prize money as the heavy weight champion of all categories. What about a midget category in basket ball? Why should midgets get paid less then Michael Jordan?
